The Lupine Award

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve become an award-winning author! On April 25, 2019, at the Maine Reading Round Up conference, I was awarded the 2018 Lupine Award for Juvenile/Young Adult fiction for my debut novel, The Mad Wolf’s Daughter. This is Maine’s big prize for children’s literature. I was so honored by this.

Maine Student Book Award List

A few weeks before the Maine Reading Round Up conference for school and public children’s librarians, I’d heard the wonderful news that The Mad Wolf’s Daughter was on the list for the 2019/2020 Maine Student Book Award. But it was something else to see all the titles there, and to see my sweet Drest’s face peering out among them! (And right next to The Prince and the Dressmaker, a graphic novel I adore!)

Audiobook Sample

Here’s a sample of my audiobook for The Mad Wolf’s Daughter, narrated by Joshua Manning. His voice fits perfectly with the style of my novel, and he depicts the characters beautifully. I’m very proud of this production, which is marvelously engaging (and I’ll share that some of the later chapters have brought tears to my own eyes, feeling so new with this narration).
